Abstract:
(EN) A rigid polyurethane foam comprises the reaction product of an isocyanate and a thixotropic composition. The thixotropic composition comprises: a first polyether polyol which is aromatic amine initiated and has ethylene and propylene oxide end capping; a second polyether polyol having a viscosity at 25°C of from about 500 to about 15,000 cps; a third polyether polyol having a viscosity at 25°C of from about 18,000 to about 60,000 cps and a functionality of from about 5 to about 7; and a hydrofluoroolefin. The thixotropic composition has a viscosity at 25°C of from about 350 to about 5,000 cps. A method of forming a composite article comprising a substrate and the rigid polyurethane foam includes the steps of providing the thixotropic composition, providing an isocyanate, combining the thixotropic composition and the isocyanate to form a reaction mixture, and applying the reaction mixture to the substrate to form the composite article.
(FR) La présente invention concerne une mousse de polyuréthane rigide comprenant le produit réactionnel d'un isocyanate et d'une composition thixotropique. La composition thixotropique comprend : un premier polyol de polyéther qui est amorcé par une amine aromatique et présente un coiffage terminal d'oxyde d'éthylène et de propylène; un deuxième polyol de polyéther d'une viscosité à 25 °C comprise entre environ 500 et environ 15 000 cps; un troisième polyol de polyéther d'une viscosité à 25 °C comprise entre environ 18 000 et environ 60 000 cps et une fonctionnalité comprise entre environ 5 et environ 7; et une hydrofluorooléfine. La composition thixotropique présente une viscosité à 25 °C comprise entre environ 350 et environ 5 000 cps. Un procédé de formation d'un article composite comprenant un substrat et la mousse de polyuréthane rigide comprend les étapes de fourniture de la composition thixotropique, de fourniture d'un isocyanate, de combinaison de la composition thixotropique et de l'isocyanate pour former un mélange réactionnel, et d'application du mélange réactionnel sur le substrat pour former l'article composite.
