Abstract:
Provided is a bioelectrode 1 that is applied to hairy skin and is capable of repeated use, and that is capable of suitably coming into contact the skin while minimizing the burden upon the skin, said bioelectrode 1 being provided with: an electroconductive bundle 10 comprising a bundle 11 of a plurality of electroconductive wires 101; a retainer 20 positioned around the electroconductive bundle 10 so as to retain the electroconductive bundle 10; and a terminal 30 in electrical contact with the electroconductive bundle 10. A body-contacting end 12, which is one end of the electroconductive bundle 10, comprises an electroconductive material at least the surface of which is biocompatible. The body-contacting end 12 projects from the retainer 20 so as to be capable of contacting a body. The retainer 20 has an elastic part 21C. At least part of the electroconductive bundle 10 is capable of elastically deforming along with the retainer 20 in response to external force F applied to the body-contacting end 12.
