Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a novel electroless plating undercoat agent that is environmentally friendly, can be easily treated in a small number of steps, can easily form fine wiring of several micrometers in width by photolithography, printing, etc., and is used in a pre-treatment step for electroless plating. [Solution] A photosensitive undercoat agent that is an undercoat agent for forming a metal plating film upon a base material by using electroless plating and includes: (a) a hyperbranched polymer having an ammonium group at the molecular terminals thereof and having a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000–5,000,000; (b) metal microparticles, (c) a polymer compound having a side chain having at least one terminal being a polymerizable unsaturated bond, per molecule, having 15–50 mols of oxyalkylene groups per 100 mols of all repeating units, and having a weight-average molecular weight of 10,000–100,000; (d) a photopolymerization initiator; (e) a compound having an amino group; and (f) a polyfunctional thiol.
