Title: METHOD FOR PRODUCING METAL-CLAD LAMINATE, AND METAL-CLAD LAMINATE
Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a metal-clad laminate composed of a thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film and a metal sheet. This production method is a method for producing a metal-clad laminate, in which a metal sheet is bonded to at least one surface of a thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film, by a roll-to-roll process, said metal sheet having a ten-point average roughness (Rz) of 5.0 μm or less in the surface that is in contact with the thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film. This method comprises: a laminate preparation step for obtaining a laminate in which the thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film and the metal sheet are bonded with each other; a drying step for having the laminate pass through a drying zone that satisfies the conditions (1) and (2) described below; and a heat treatment step for having the laminate pass through a heating zone continuously after the drying step under a temperature condition that is not less than the melting point of the thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film. (1) The temperature of the drying step is less than the melting point of the thermoplastic liquid crystal polymer film. (2) The time duration of the drying step is 10 seconds or more.
