Abstract:
In the present invention an acousto-optic deflector diverts a laser beam to a damper path, a first machining path, or a second machining path. Beam deflectors are arranged respectively in the first machining path and the second machining path. A control device repeats a procedure whereby the beam deflectors are operated and a procedure whereby the acousto-optic deflector is controlled and a laser pulse is extracted to the first machining path from the original laser pulse, after which a laser pulse is extracted to the second machining path. During the repetition of these procedures the elapsed time from the point in time at which the laser light source is commanded to start oscillation to the point in time at which the laser pulse is extracted to the first machining path is constant. Even if the pulse width of the laser pulse extracted to the first machining path is changed, the elapsed time from the transmission to the acousto-optic deflector of an extraction signal for the first machining path to the transmission of an extraction signal for the second machining path is not changed.
