Abstract:
The present invention enables stable, highly reliable fuel microinjection volume correction to be performed at high precision regardless of transmission configuration. Fuel microinjection volume correction control is performed in which deviations in fuel injection volume caused by deviations in fuel injection valve injection characteristics are corrected on the basis of the difference between a reference electrification time and electrification time during microinjections constituted by injections of an extremely small volume of fuel, the latter electrification time being obtained on the basis of the amount of fluctuation in engine rpm produced by the microinjections. When obtaining microinjection electrification time on the basis of the amount of fluctuation in engine rpm produced by the microinjections, fluctuation in engine rpm is corrected on the basis of gear ratio and engine rpm so as to eliminate unnecessary changes caused by fluctuation in engine rpm caused by the shifting of the transmission, thereby allowing for improved precision of fuel microinjection correction.
