Abstract:
The present invention provides an image processor that realizes highly accurate geometric conversion using a relatively few computing resources. In one embodiment, the image processor for performing geometric conversion on data recorded in accordance with two-dimensional coordinate positions is characterized by having: a control means for breaking down a process of converting from first coordinates to second coordinates into linear conversion and non-linear conversion, the control means determining the conversion parameters of linear conversion and non-linear conversion; a linear conversion means for performing linear conversion on the first coordinates and calculating third coordinates; a non-linear conversion means for performing non-linear conversion on the first coordinates and calculating fourth coordinates; and a synthesis means for synthesizing the third coordinates and fourth coordinates and calculating second coordinates, the control means determining the conversion parameters so that a third quadrangle constituted with the third coordinates is a quadrangle close to a second quadrangle, and setting the conversion parameters for each of the linear conversion means and the non-linear conversion means.
