Abstract:
For the purpose of obtaining the necessary sensitivity in a shorter exposure time than when a lock-in amplifier is used, the image acquisition device (1) pertaining to the present invention is provided with a scanning unit (4) for scanning illumination light emitted from a light source (2), an optical system (5) for condensing the scanned illumination light on a sample (A) while also condensing signal light generated in each scanning position of the sample (A), a detector (8) for detecting the condensed signal light and generating a detection signal, a signal control unit (11) for generating a periodic signal repeated at a predetermined period, a light control unit (3) for temporally controlling the position or intensity of the illumination light in accordance with the generated periodic signal, and a computation unit (9) for processing the detection signal generated by the detector (8) in accordance with the generated periodic signal, the computation unit (9) being provided with a frequency shifting means (16) for shifting the frequency of the detection signal by one period of the periodic signal, and an integrator (17) for integrating the shifted detection signal for an integral time which is an integer multiple of the period of the periodic signal.
