Abstract:
In the present invention, in a PESI ion source, a solvent supply unit (8) is placed over a liver (101) to be measured and a sample is collected at the leading end of a probe (6) through the vertical movement of the probe (6) such that the leading end passes through the solvent supply unit (8) and pierces the liver (101). The solvent supply unit (8) includes: a container part in which a liquid-impermeable upper film body (81) is provided on the bottom opening of a cylindrical body (80) so as to be stretched; and a liquid-impermeable lower film body (82) that is provided so as to be stretched and so as to be roughly parallel to the upper film body (81) with a spacer disposed therebetween. A solvent (84) is accommodated in the container part. Because the leading end of the probe (6) passes through the solvent (84) when the probe (6) is moved vertically, the solvent adheres sufficiently to the sample, and components in the sample are satisfactorily ionized when high voltage is applied to the probe (6). Blood that leaks upward from the liver (101) through the hole through which the probe (6) was inserted spreads in the vicinity of the lower film body (82) and does not mix with the solvent (84) in the container part. As a result, it is possible to avoid contamination by blood during measurement.
