The present invention addresses the problem that to switch the state of a plurality of contactors the upper limit of current passing through a device is exceeded. This storage battery device is equipped with a battery unit, a first contactor, a second contactor, and a control unit. The battery unit has one or more storage batteries. The first contactor switches the connection/disconnection between a first pole of the battery unit and an external device. The second contactor switches the connection/disconnection between a second pole of the battery unit and the external device. The control unit supplies electricity to the first contactor and the second contactor, and implements connection/disconnection control. The times at which the control unit supplies electricity to the first contactor and the second contactor are shifted by the time period equal to or more than the difference in time when the sum of the currents passing through the first contactor and the second contactor becomes a current upper limit, which is set as an upper limit to the current.
