Abstract:
(EN) A method of producing trilobatin is disclosed. The method comprising contacting a polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence at least 90 % identical to SEQ ID NO: 8 and having a 4'-O-glycosyltransferase activity with phloretin and UDP-glucose under conditions which allow the formation of trilobatin, thereby producing trilobatin. A method of producing a plant which produces trilobatin, transgenic plant or plant cell and methods of producing transgenic plants are disclosed. Composition comprising trilobatin are also disclosed.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de trilobatine. Le procédé comprend la mise en contact d'un polypeptide comprenant une séquence d'acides aminés au moins 90 % identique à SEQ ID NO: 8 et ayant une activité 4'-O-glycosyltransférase avec la phlorétine et l'UDP-glucose dans des conditions qui permettent la formation de trilobatine, de façon à produire de la trilobatine. L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'une plante qui produit de la trilobatine, une plante transgénique ou une cellule de plante et des procédés de production de plantes transgéniques. L'invention concerne en outre une composition comprenant de la trilobatine.
