Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to a socket assembly for a light emitter module. A thermally conductive base frame (108) is provided for holding a light emitter package (134) to a support structure, the base frame comprising a base that is mounted to the support structure and mechanically engages a light emitter substrate (136) for attaching it to the support structure with a pre-determined holding force. Electrical contact elements (104) arranged on an isolator PCB (102) electrically connect the isolator PCB to the light emitter substrate, the isolator PCB being electrically connected to an electrical power supply. The isolator PCB has a first and a second surface, the second surface being in heat transmitting contact with the base frame which can absorb heat from the isolator PCB, wherein the socket assembly further comprises at least one electronic component (146), which is arranged on said first surface (112) and is electrically connected to a light emitting element.
