Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to a method for measuring post-translational modification of proteins in a subject. The method comprises recording of infrared radiation within a predetermined wavenumber range, attenuated by an integument of said subject, wherein said integument is still attached to said subject, and comparing said attenuation of infrared radiation to a predetermined value for deriving information regarding post-translational modification of proteins in the integument. The invention also relates to a corresponding system as well as to a post-translational modified integument protein as marker for in vivo diagnosis of a disease, e.g. diabetes mellitus or renal insufficiency.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de mesure de modification post-traductionnelle de protéines chez un sujet. Le procédé comprend l'enregistrement d'un rayonnement infrarouge dans une plage de nombres d'onde prédéterminée, atténué par un tégument dudit sujet, ledit tégument étant encore fixé audit sujet, et la comparaison de ladite atténuation de rayonnement infrarouge à une valeur prédéterminée pour dériver des informations concernant une modification post-traductionnelle de protéines dans le tégument. L'invention concerne en outre un système correspondant ainsi qu'une protéine de tégument à modification post-traductionnelle en tant que marqueur pour le diagnostic in vivo d'une maladie, par exemple le diabète sucré ou l'insuffisance rénale.
