Abstract:
(EN) A rotating control device for sealing an annulus includes an outer housing, and a seal assembly disposed within the outer housing and configured to seal against a rotating tubular member extending axially through a throughbore of the outer housing, wherein the seal assembly includes an inner housing, a first proximity sensor disposed along an inner surface of the outer housing, and a first sensor element disposed along an outer surface of the inner housing, wherein the first proximity sensor is configured to measure the rotational speed of the seal assembly in response to rotation of the seal assembly in the outer housing.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif de commande rotatif pour assurer l'étanchéité d'un espace annulaire, qui comprend un logement externe, et un ensemble joint d'étanchéité disposé dans le logement externe et conçu pour entre en contact d'étanchéité avec un élément tubulaire rotatif s'étendant axialement à travers un trou traversant du logement externe, l'ensemble joint d'étanchéité comprenant un logement interne, un premier capteur de proximité disposé le long d'une surface interne du logement externe, et un premier élément de capteur disposé le long d'une surface externe du logement interne, le premier capteur de proximité étant conçu pour mesurer la vitesse de rotation de l'ensemble joint d'étanchéité en réponse à la rotation de l'ensemble joint d'étanchéité dans le logement externe.
