Abstract:
(EN) A pressurized chemical theft deterrent device includes a locking portion and a shackle. The locking portion includes a locking mechanism. The shackle includes a shackle wall. The shackle is configured to house a chemical deterrent within the shackle wall. The chemical deterrent is pressurized while being housed inside the shackle such that a breach in the integrity of the shackle wall causes an aerosolized release of the chemical deterrent.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif antivol par dissuasion chimique sous pression comprenant une partie de verrouillage et une manille. La partie de verrouillage comprend un mécanisme de verrouillage. La manille comprend une paroi de manille. La manille est configurée pour recevoir un dispositif de dissuasion chimique à l'intérieur de la paroi de la manille. Le dispositif de dissuasion chimique est mis sous pression tout en étant logé à l'intérieur de la manille de telle sorte qu'une rupture de l'intégrité de la paroi de la manille provoque la libération sous forme d'aérosol du dispositif de dissuasion chimique.
