Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides aqueous sizing compositions for carbon fibers comprising, as solids, from 85 to 99.5 wt.% of one or more ethoxylated bisphenol A having a weight average of from 2 to 30 ethylene oxide groups and from 0.5 to 15 wt.% of ethoxylated oleamides having a weight average of from 2 to 30 ethylene oxide groups or, preferably, from 3 to 20 ethylene oxide groups, as well as the carbon fibers sized with the aqueous sizing compositions. The aqueous sizing compositions enable one to provide sized carbon fiber containing epoxy resin articles having improved interfacial shear strength (IFSS) between fiber and matrix resin.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des compositions de collage aqueuses pour fibres de carbone comprenant, sous forme solide, de 85 à 99,5 % en poids d'au moins un bisphénol A éthoxylé ayant un poids moyen de 2 à 30 groupes oxyde d'éthylène et de 0,5 à 15 % en poids d'oléamides éthoxylées ayant un poids moyen de 2 à 30 groupes oxyde d'éthylène ou, de préférence, de 3 à 20 groupes oxyde d'éthylène, ainsi que les fibres de carbone collées avec les compositions de collage aqueuses. Les compositions de collage aqueuses permettent de fournir des articles en résine époxy contenant des fibres de carbone collées ayant une meilleure résistance au cisaillement interfaciale (IFSS) entre une fibre et une matrice de résine.
