Title: METHOD FOR DETECTING CASTRATION-RESISTANT PROSTATE CANCER AND DETECTION REAGENT
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a method for simply and highly accurately detecting castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC), and a reagent that can be used in the method. The acquisition of castration resistance is detected in prostate cancer patients during endocrine therapy or after the therapy, by measuring the amount of GDF15 propeptide, which serves as a novel detection marker for CRPC, present in a sample. Further, an antibody that specifically recognizes GDF15 propeptide is included in the CRPC detection reagent.
