Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing a polyether rubber containing 0.1% by mole or more but less than 30% by mole of a unit represented by general formula (1), said polyether rubber being obtained by having a polyether rubber containing 0.1% by mole or more of an epihalohydrin monomer unit and a nitrogen atom-containing aromatic heterocyclic compound kneaded and reacted in the presence of an acid acceptor that contains at least a hydrotalcite having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 10 m2/g or more as determined by a BET method. (In general formula (1), A+ represents a group containing a cationic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic ring and is bonded with the carbon atom at the position "2" in general formula (1) via one of the nitrogen atoms constituting the cationic nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic ring; and X- represents an arbitrary counter anion.)
