Title: RADIO FREQUENCY COIL, MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING DEVICE USING SAME, AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING MULTI-CHANNEL RADIO FREQUENCY COIL
Abstract:
The present invention realizes both wide sensitivity range and low noise in a multi-channel array coil for an MRI machine without involving a complex configuration. This RF coil (array coil) is provided with a plurality of sub-coils. These sub-coils are each adjusted so as to be able to receive a nuclear magnetic resonance signal, and such that a part of the current (first current) flowing during signal reception in one of the sub-coils flows to another one of the sub-coils as a sub-current. The first sub-current and the sub-current flow in mutually opposite directions, and the electric field generated in an imaging subject by the first current and the electric field generated in the imaging subject by the first sub-current are configured to strengthen each other in a space between a first loop coil section and a second loop coil section. This configuration enables reduction of noise correlation which is determined by an inner product of the electric fields, and thereby achieves noise reduction.
