Abstract:
Provided is a catalyst for an electrode, said catalyst contributing to a reduction in cost and having equal or greater catalytic activity and durability in comparison with Pt/Pd/C catalysts. The catalyst for an electrode has a carrier and catalyst particles that are carried on the carrier. The catalyst particles have a core part that is formed on the carrier and a shell part that is formed on the core part. Furthermore, the core part includes Ti oxide and Pd, and the shell part includes Pt.
