Title: ADHESION PREVENTION MATERIAL
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an adhesion prevention material that makes it possible to achieve excellent adhesion prevention capability without compromising degradability, handling properties, and adhesive properties during use. [Solution] An adhesion prevention material containing ascorbic acid or an ascorbic acid derivative as an antioxidant on a solid or semi-solid substrate comprising a water-soluble polymer and a poly(aliphatic ester). The substrate of the adhesion prevention material functions as a physical barrier between one wound surface and another wound surface, healing in the wound surfaces is promoted by the sustained release of the ascorbic acid or the derivative thereof from the substrate, and adhesion prevention capability is thus achieved efficiently and in a synergistic manner.
