Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a thermoformable multilayer composite panel. According to the invention, at least one sheet (1) is provided that contains or is made of a material selected from among cork, agglomerated cork and reinforced cardboard, in particular corrugated cardboard; a combination is formed that includes a middle layer of which the two faces are covered by thermoplastic resin covered by a fabric; the obtained combination is heated to a temperature slightly higher than or substantially equal to the melting temperature of the thermoplastic resin; when the resin has melted, a first pressure is applied to the combination such that the melted resin penetrates into the middle layer (1) and into the first and second fabrics (3; 4), and a second pressure is optionally applied locally at the same time as or later than the first pressure, said second pressure reducing the thickness of the combination and being applied to the longitudinal edges of the combination and/or to a specific portion such that an embossed pattern is formed; the obtained material is allowed to cool down to ambient temperature or is cooled, especially using conduction, to a temperature substantially equal to or lower than the glass transition temperature of the resin (2).
