Abstract

A method for depth mapping of objects in a scene by a system of a moving/movable platform is disclosed, comprising actively illuminating the scene with pulsed light that is generated by at least one pulsed light illuminator; receiving, responsive to illuminating the scene, reflections on at least one image sensor that comprises a plurality of pixel elements; gating at least one of the plurality of pixel elements of the at least one image sensor for converting the reflections into pixel values for generating reflection-based images that have at least two depth-of-field ranges and an overlapping DOF region; and determining, based on at least one first pixel value of a first DOF in the overlapping DOF region, and based on at least one second pixel value of a second DOF in the overlapping DOF region, depth information of one or more objects located in the overlapping DOF region of the scene.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour la cartographie de profondeur d'objets dans une scène par un système d'une plateforme en mouvement/déplaçable, comprenant l'éclairage actif de la scène au moyen d'une lumière pulsée qui est générée par au moins un dispositif d'éclairage à lumière pulsée; la réception, en réaction à l'éclairage de la scène, de reflets sur au moins un capteur d'image qui comprend une pluralité de pixels; le déclenchement d'au moins un pixel de la pluralité de pixels du ou des capteurs d'image afin de convertir les reflets en valeurs de pixel pour générer des images basées sur les reflets qui présentent au moins deux plages de profondeur de champ et une région de profondeur de champ superposée; et la détermination, sur la base d'au moins une première valeur de pixel d'une première profondeur de champ dans la région de profondeur de champ superposée, et sur la base d'au moins une seconde valeur de pixel d'une seconde profondeur de champ dans la région de profondeur de champ superposée, d'informations de profondeur d'un ou de plusieurs objets situés dans la région de profondeur de champ superposée de la scène.
