Abstract:
(EN) A suction device holds an SMA wire to a profiled edge, in order to accurately position a length of SMA wire during manufacture of an SMA actuator. The wire is held by air pressure, avoiding damage of the wire or its surface. Once the wire has been offered up to crimps on the actuator sub-assembly and the crimps closed, suction is turned off, releasing the wire in position. The device and process of the invention reduce wire wastage and increase manufacturing throughput.
(FR) Dispositif d'aspiration maintenant un fil SMA sur un bord profilé, afin de positionner précisément une longueur de fil SMA pendant la fabrication d'un actionneur SMA. Le fil est maintenu par une pression de l'air, évitant l'endommagement du fil ou de sa surface. Une fois que le fil a été logé dans des éléments de sertissage sur le sous-ensemble d'actionnement et que les éléments de sertissage ont été fermés, l'aspiration est coupée, libérant le fil en position. Le dispositif et le processus de l'invention permettent de réduire le gaspillage de fil et d'augmenter le rendement de fabrication.
