Abstract:
(EN) An apparatus (9) for detecting an electrical arc fault in an electrical system (1), is disclosed. The apparatus comprises an interface (13) configured for receiving data on operation of the electrical system and a processing unit (15) configured to: perform a time- domain analysis of the data; if at least one time-domain parameter of the data meets a potential arc fault condition, enabling the detection of an arc fault event based on a frequency-domain analysis of the data.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil (9) de détection d'un défaut d'arc électrique dans un système électrique (1). L'appareil comprend une interface (13) configurée pour recevoir des données sur le fonctionnement du système électrique et une unité de traitement (15) conçue pour effectuer une analyse de domaine temporel des données; si au moins un paramètre de domaine temporel des données satisfait une condition de défaut d'arc potentielle, valider la détection d'un événement de défaut d'arc sur la base d'une analyse dans le domaine fréquentiel des données.
