Abstract:
(EN) A method and a traffic control entity (100) for controlling a group of vehicles (104) capable of autonomous driving without requiring a driver, to allow an emergency vehicle (102) to pass the group of vehicles (104) which are travelling concurrently in multiple lanes on a road. When detecting that the emergency vehicle (102) is approaching the group of vehicles (104) e.g. from behind, the vehicles in the group (104) are identified based on information (108) about current position and movement of the vehicles (104). The traffic control entity (100) then issues a command (106) instructing the identified vehicles to adjust their lateral positions relative the lanes to create a passage along the group of vehicles (104). Thereby, the emergency vehicle (102) is able to move through the passage without having to slow down significantly.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé et une entité de régulation de trafic (100) pour la régulation d'un groupe de véhicules (104) aptes à conduire de façon autonome sans nécessiter de conducteur, afin de permettre à un véhicule de secours (102) de dépasser le groupe de véhicules (104) qui se déplacent en même temps sur de multiples voies sur une route. Lorsqu'il est détecté que le véhicule de secours (102) s'approche du groupe de véhicules (104), par ex. depuis l'arrière, les véhicules dans le groupe (104) sont identifiés sur la base d'informations (108) relatives à la position et au déplacement actuels des véhicules (104). L'entité de régulation de trafic (100) émet alors une instruction (106) ordonnant aux véhicules identifiés d'ajuster leurs positions latérales par rapport aux voies afin de créer un passage le long du groupe de véhicules (104). Ainsi, le véhicule de secours (102) est apte à se déplacer à travers le passage sans avoir besoin de ralentir considérablement.
