Abstract:
Disclosed are a network connection control method and device, wherein the implementation of the method, for example, comprises: keeping a connection state after a mobile terminal in the connection state finishes transmitting and receiving data; carrying out cell measurement then carrying out cell reselection according to a result of the cell measurement, and not initiating cell switching; and after the mobile terminal finishes cell reselection, sending current position information about the mobile terminal to a management device of an access device corresponding to a cell in which the mobile terminal is located currently. When the mobile terminal needs to be found, it is unnecessary to send paging signalling to all access devices in a tracking region, it is also unnecessary to broadcast the paging signalling by all base stations in the tracking region, and therefore, the paging signalling can be reduced. Moreover, signalling costs required for state switching can be reduced, and the signalling costs required for cell switching are not increased newly. In summary, it can be seen that the technical solution above can reduce signalling loads of a communication network.
