Abstract
(EN) Disclosed herein are embodiments of methods for making and using functionalized forms of polydicyclopentadiene polymers. The disclosed polymers and methods enable a greater range of uses than the unmodified polydicyclopentadiene, which is currently used industrially. In addition, the presence of the functional groups contemplated by the disclosed compounds and formulae allow for the control of the polymer surface energy, and also enables the use of reversible chemical crosslinks, which permits recycling of the material.
(FR) L'invention concerne des modes de réalisation de procédés de fabrication et d'utilisation de formes fonctionnalisées de polymères polydicyclopentadiène. Les polymères et les procédés décrits permettent un plus large éventail d'utilisations que le polydicyclopentadiène non modifié, qui est actuellement utilisé industriellement. De plus, la présence des groupes fonctionnels envisagés par les formules et les composés décrits permettent la commande de l'énergie de surface du polymère, et permettent également l'utilisation de réticulations chimiques réversibles, ce qui rend possible le recyclage du matériau.
