Abstract:
(EN) A 400 Gb/s transmitter is integrated on a silicon substrate. The transmitter uses four gain chips, sixteen lasers, four modulators to modulate the sixteen lasers at 25 Gb/s, and four multiplexers to produce four optical outputs. Each optical output can transmit at 100 Gb/s to produce a 400 Gb/s transmitter. Other variations are also described.
(FR) L'invention concerne un émetteur à 400 Go/s intégré sur un substrat de silicium. L'émetteur utilise quatre puces à gain, seize lasers, quatre modulateurs servant à moduler les seize lasers à 25 Go/s, et quatre multiplexeurs pour produire quatre sorties optiques. Chaque sortie optique peut émettre à 100 Go/s pour produire un émetteur à 400 Go/s. D'autres variantes sont également décrites.
