Abstract:
(EN) A method includes receiving, via an input service running on a server, a transcoding request from a client, the transcoding request requesting a segment of digital content, the transcoding request containing a start time of the segment and a duration of the segment; requesting, via the input service, the segment from a source based on the transcoding request; receiving, via the input service, the segment and metadata from the source based on the requesting, the metadata being related to the start time and the duration; transcoding, via the input service, the segment based on the metadata in the transcoder service; and sending, via the input service, the segment from the transcoder service to the client.
(FR) L’invention concerne un procédé qui consiste à recevoir, par l’intermédiaire d’un service d’entrée s’exécutant sur un serveur, une requête de transcodage à partir d’un client, la requête de transcodage demandant un segment de contenu numérique, la requête de transcodage contenant un temps de début du segment et une durée du segment ; à demander, par l’intermédiaire du service d’entrée, le segment à partir d'une source sur la base de la requête de transcodage ; à recevoir, par l’intermédiaire du service d’entrée, le segment et des métadonnées à partir de la source sur la base de la requête, les métadonnées étant associées au temps de début et à la durée ; à transcoder, par l’intermédiaire du service d’entrée, le segment sur la base des métadonnées dans le service de transcodeur ; et à envoyer, par l’intermédiaire du service d’entrée, le segment du service de transcodeur au client.
