Abstract:
(EN) A header and a pump end for a cryogenic pump are provided for efficient liquid pumping operation. The header directs supplied liquid into a sump and gas into a freeboard. The liquid in the header can be distributed along the header and decanted over a weir to the sump, the liquid being drawn from the sump and up through the vessel to the pump end.. Gas in the freeboard is collected for venting or return to the liquid source. Pump head plunger stroke can be lengthened and operated at slower stroke rates using a large cross-sectional area intake and discharge valves. Plunger seals, supported as a seal pack in a sleeve, are field installable over the plunger. A plunger to drive shim arrangement permits filed adjustment of the stroke.
(FR) L’invention concerne une tête et une extrémité de pompe destinées à une pompe cryogénique en vue d’une opération efficace de pompage de liquide. La tête canalise le liquide fourni vers un réservoir et du gaz dans un franc-bord. Le liquide se trouvant dans la tête peut être distribué le long de la tête et transvasé sur un déversoir du réservoir, le liquide étant extrait du réservoir par le haut, à travers le récipient, jusqu’à l’extrémité de la pompe. Le gaz se trouvant dans le franc-bord est capté pour être évacué ou ramené à la source de liquide. La course du piston de la tête de pompe peut être prolongée et peut fonctionner à des vitesses de course plus lentes au moyen de soupapes d’admission et d’évacuation de grande section. Des joints d’étanchéité de piston, sous la forme d'un paquet de joints d’étanchéité placé dans un manchon, peuvent être installés sur place sur le piston. Un agencement de cales de piston permet un ajustement fin de la course.
