Abstract:
(EN) An intra-body communication system for monitoring physiological changes in a patient is provided. The system can include a first device implanted into a patient's body; a second device spaced apart from the first device; and a receiver for detecting and/or decoding the signals to monitor physiological changes in the patient. The first device and second device are capable of engaging in a two-way communication through transmission of one or more signals through at least a portion of the patient's body between the first device and the second device. In one embodiment, the signal may be an optical signal.
(FR) L’invention concerne un système de communication intracorporelle pour surveiller des changements physiologiques chez un patient. Le système peut comprendre un premier dispositif implanté dans le corps d'un patient ; un second dispositif éloigné du premier dispositif ; et un récepteur destiné à détecter et/ou à décoder les signaux afin de surveiller des changements physiologiques chez le patient. Le premier dispositif et le second dispositif sont aptes à entrer en communication bidirectionnelle par la transmission d'un ou de plusieurs signaux à travers au moins une partie du corps du patient entre le premier dispositif et le second dispositif. Selon un mode de réalisation, le signal peut être un signal optique.
