Abstract:
(EN) Methods and systems for processing medical diagnostic images for review, e.g., by a physician or radiologist, are provided. Methods and systems herein can automatically detect the vertical section of the ascending and descending aorta in which medical images, such as axial CT images, give an approximately circular cross section of the aorta along a few consecutive slices, thereby allowing for aorta measurements with increased accuracy.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes permettant de traiter des images de diagnostic médical à des fins d'examen, par exemple, par un médecin ou un radiologue. L’invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes permettant de détecter automatiquement la section verticale de l'aorte ascendante et descendante dans laquelle des images médicales, telles que des images CT axiales, donnent une section transversale approximativement circulaire de l'aorte le long de quelques tranches consécutives, ce qui permet de mesurer l’aorte avec une plus grande précision.
