Abstract:
(EN) An apparatus for patient's lung function testing using forced oscillation technique is described. The apparatus includes a sub-woofer configured to generate a pressure wave. The apparatus further includes a waveguide configured to direct the generated pressure wave to be introduced into airflow towards the patient's lung. The apparatus includes a pressure transducer configured to measure a change in pressure of the airflow and one or more flow transducers configured to measure a change in flowrate of the airflow, in response to the pressure wave introduced into the airflow. The apparatus includes a computing unit configured to determine a mechanical impedance of the patient's lung based on the measured change in pressure and flowrate of the airflow.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un appareil pour évaluer la fonction pulmonaire d’un patient au moyen d’une technique d’oscillation forcée. L’appareil comprend un caisson de base configuré pour générer une onde de pression. L’appareil comprend en outre un guide d’ondes configuré pour diriger l’onde de pression générée de façon à ce qu'elle soit introduite dans un flux d’air vers le poumon du patient. L’appareil comprend un transducteur de pression configuré pour mesurer un changement de pression des voies respiratoires et un ou plusieurs transducteurs de débit configurés pour mesurer un changement de débit du flux d’air, en réponse à l’onde de pression introduite dans le flux d’air. L’appareil comprend une unité de calcul configurée pour déterminer une impédance mécanique du poumon du patient sur la base du changement mesuré de pression et de débit du flux d’air.
