Abstract:
(EN) Systems and methods for informing and evaluating neuromodulation therapy are disclosed herein. A system configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, a guidewire having a proximal portion, a distal portion configured to be positioned at a target site in a blood vessel of a human patient, and a sensing element positioned along the distal portion. The sensing element can be a pressure sensing element, a flow sensing element, an impedance sensing element, and/or a temperature sensing element. The system can further include a controller configured to obtain one or more measurements related to a physiological parameter of the patient via the sensing element. Based on the measurements, the controller can determine the physiological parameter and compare the parameter to a predetermined threshold. Based on the comparison, the controller and/or the operator can assess the likelihood of the patient benefitting from neuromodulation therapy.
(FR) L'invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés visant à informer quant à une thérapie par neuromodulation et à évaluer cette dernière. Un système conçu selon des modes de réalisation de la présente technologie peut comprendre, par exemple, un fil–guide présentant une partie proximale, une partie distale conçue pour être positionnée au niveau d'un site cible dans un vaisseau sanguin d'un patient humain, et un élément de détection positionné le long de la partie distale. L'élément de détection peut être un élément de détection de pression, un élément de détection d'écoulement, un élément de détection d'impédance, et/ou un élément de détection de température. Le système peut en outre comprendre un dispositif de commande conçu pour obtenir une ou plusieurs mesures liées à un paramètre physiologique du patient par l'intermédiaire de l'élément de détection. Sur la base de ces mesures, le dispositif de commande peut déterminer le paramètre physiologique et comparer le paramètre à un seuil prédéfini. Sur la base de cette comparaison, le dispositif de commande et/ou l'opérateur peut évaluer la probabilité qu'à un patient de tirer profit d'une thérapie par neuromodulation.
