Abstract:
(EN) Disclosed is a method and apparatus for exploiting Radio Access Technology (RAT) system information blocks for global navigation satellite system (GNSS) positioning. The method may include processing, by a mobile device with carrier aggregation, a voice call via a first RAT, the processing of the voice call causing second RAT capabilities of the mobile device to go out of service. The method may also include accessing a communications network using the second RAT with an available receiver of the mobile device during the voice call via the first RAT. The method may also include obtaining, with the available receiver, timing information from one or more broadcast system information blocks of the second RAT, and determining a time based, at least in part, on the obtained timing information.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant d'exploiter des blocs d'informations de système à technologie d'accès radio (RAT) pour un positionnement par un système global de navigation par satellite (GNSS). Le procédé peut comprendre le traitement, par un dispositif mobile à agrégation de porteuses, d'une communication vocale par l'intermédiaire d'une première RAT, le traitement de la communication vocale amenant les capacités d'une seconde RAT du dispositif mobile à se mettre hors service. Le procédé peut également comprendre l'accès à un réseau de communication au moyen de la seconde RAT avec un récepteur disponible du dispositif mobile pendant la communication vocale via la première RAT. Le procédé peut également comprendre l'obtention, avec le récepteur disponible, d'informations de synchronisation provenant d'un ou plusieurs blocs d'informations de système de diffusion de la seconde RAT, et la détermination d'un temps sur la base, au moins en partie, des informations de synchronisation obtenues.
