Abstract:
(EN) The present application relates to a process for preparing a dicarboxylic acid or dicarboxylic ester according to general formula (IV) R1OOC-(CH2)m-CH2CH2-(CH2)y-COOR4 (IV), comprising the steps of subjecting alkenoic acid or alkenoate of formula (II) R1OOC-(CH2)m-CH=CH-(CH2)x-H (II) to a metathesis reaction in the presence of a metathesis catalyst to form a longer-chain alkenoic acid or alkenoate of formula (III) R1OOC-(CH2)m-CH=CH-(CH2)y-H (III) where x1OOC-(CH2)m-CH2-(CH2)y-CH3 (XI) by subjecting an alkenoic acid or alkenoate to alkene hydrogenation; and a process for preparing an alcohol or ether according to general formula (XII) R1O-CH2-(CH2)m-CH2-(CH2)y-CH3 (XII) by subjecting an alkenoic acid or alkenoate to hydrogenation. The use of the respective mono/dicarboxylic acid, mono/dicarboxylic ester, ethers or alcohols in a variety of applications is also disclosed.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation d'un acide dicarboxylique ou d'un ester dicarboxylique selon la formule générale (IV) R1OOC-(CH2)m-CH2CH2-(CH2)y-COOR4 (IV), comprenant les étapes consistant à soumettre un acide alcénoïque ou un alcénoate de formule (II) R1OOC-(CH2)m-CH=CH-(CH2)x-H (II) à une réaction de métathèse en présence d'un catalyseur de métathèse pour former un acide alcénoïque ou un alcénoate chaîne plus longue de formule (III) R1OOC-(CH2)m-CH=CH-(CH2)y-H (III) où x < y, éventuellement séparant les produits de métathèse par distillation ; et à soumettre les produits de métathèse à une réaction de carbonylation en présence d'un catalyseur de carbonylation et d'une source de carbonyle pour former ledit composé de formule (IV). D'autres modes de réalisation concernent un procédé de préparation d'un acide alcénoïque ou alcénoate consistant à soumettre une lactone à une réaction d'ouverture de cycle ; un procédé de préparation d'un acide monocarboxylique ou d'un ester monocarboxylique de formule générale (XI) R1OOC-(CH2)m-CH2-(CH2)y-CH3 (XI) en soumettant un acide alcénoïque ou alcénoate à une hydrogénation alcène ; et un procédé de préparation d'un alcool ou d'un éther de formule générale (XII) R1O-CH2-(CH2)m-CH2-(CH2)y-CH3 (XII) en soumettant un acide alcénoïque ou alcénoate à une hydrogénation. L'invention concerne également l'utilisation du mono/acide dicarboxylique, mono/ester dicarboxylique, des éthers ou des alcools correspondants dans diverses applications.
