Abstract:
(EN) A method for adaptively shadowing bright light in a field of view seen by an observer. The method includes receiving, from a first image sensor facing a scene in front of the transparent display, light intensity data indicative of brightness of a light received from a light source in the scene; determining a location of the light source relative to the transparent display device based on the light intensity data; receiving, from a second image sensor facing an observer located in a line of sight of a transparent display, image data representative of an image of the observer, determining a location of the observer relative to the transparent display based the image data; and, controlling the transparent display based on the location of the observer and the location of the light source to adaptively adjust a transparency at one or more areas of the transparent display to at least partially block light received from the light source from passing through the one or more areas of the transparent display.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé d'assombrissement adaptatif de lumière brillante dans un champ de vision visualisé par un observateur. Le procédé consiste à recevoir, d'un premier capteur d'image faisant face à une scène devant le dispositif d'affichage transparent, des données d'intensité lumineuse indiquant une luminosité d'une lumière reçue d'une source de lumière dans la scène; à déterminer une position de la source de lumière par rapport au dispositif d'affichage transparent sur la base des données d'intensité lumineuse; à recevoir, d'un second capteur d'image faisant face à un observateur situé dans une ligne de visée d'un dispositif d'affichage transparent, des données d'image représentant une image de l'observateur, à déterminer une position de l'observateur par rapport au dispositif d'affichage transparent sur la base des données d'image; et à commander le dispositif d'affichage transparent sur la base de la position de l'observateur et de la position de la source de lumière pour régler de manière adaptative une transparence au niveau d'une ou de plusieurs zones du dispositif d'affichage transparent de façon à empêcher au moins partiellement que de la lumière reçue de la source de lumière ne traverse la ou les zones du dispositif d'affichage transparent.
