Abstract:
(EN) In a packet transmission method, an error protection mechanism for HARQ feedback jointly codes successive acknowledgement messages to improve reliability. Successive acknowledgement messages are channel encoded into feedback signals using a convolutional code with rate k/m (see e.g. Lin & Costello Error Control Coding Prentice Hall 1983). With convolutional codes one input block of k information bits arrives per epoch and is coded into an output block of m>k coded bits. The coded signal at the current epoch depends on the input at the current epoch and the λ-1 previous input blocks (λ is called the code constraint length).The decoder introduces a delay when decoding HARQ acknowledgements messages but this delay is more than compensated the improved performance and the elimination of the large delays due to NACK to ACK errors.
(FR) Dans un procédé de transmission de paquet, un mécanisme de protection contre les erreurs pour une rétroaction de demande de répétition automatique hybride (HARQ) code conjointement des messages d'accusé de réception successifs afin d'améliorer la fiabilité. Des messages d'accusé de réception successifs sont codés par canal en signaux de rétroaction en utilisant un code à convolution avec un débit k/m (voir, par exemple, Lin & Costello Error Control Coding Prentice Hall 1983). Au moyen de codes à convolution, un bloc d'entrée de k bits d'informations arrive par époque et est codé en un bloc de sortie de m>k bits codés. Le signal codé à l'époque courante dépend de l'entrée à l'époque courante et des λ-1 blocs d'entrée précédents (λ est appelé la longueur de contrainte de code). Le décodeur introduit un retard lors du décodage de messages d'accusé de réception HARQ mais ce retard est plus que compensé en raison des performances améliorées et de l'élimination des grands retards dus à des erreurs de NACK à ACK.
