Abstract:
(EN) A method is disclosed for making a rubber- crumb-based moldable composition. 8 - 14 mesh rubber crumb and at least 1% by weight of virgin diene polymer is mixed with vulcanizing agents, preferably in two steps whereby the rubber crumb and virgin diene polymer is premixed prior to the addition of the vulcanizing agents, in an intensive or shear mixer to produce a surface-activated free-flowing curable powder that can be molded into useful articles under heat and pressure.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d’une composition pouvant être moulée à base de fragments de caoutchouc. On mélange des fragments de caoutchouc de 8 à 14 mesh et au moins 1 % en poids d’un polymère à base de diène vierge avec des agents de vulcanisation, préférablement en deux étapes moyennant quoi les fragments de caoutchouc et le polymère à base de diène vierge sont prémélangés avant l’addition des agents de vulcanisation, dans un mélangeur intensif ou à cisaillement pour produire une poudre durcissable à écoulement libre activée en surface qui peut être moulée en articles utiles sous chaleur et pression.
