Abstract:
(EN) A Fatigue Performance Test induces a traffic analogous, 60 cycle, stress-strain environment into a road pavement cross section through a rolling cyclic fatigue platform. Data from the encounter dynamic reveals where strain build-up is occurring well before external, visually detectable evidence of fatigue failure is present in the pavement sample from cracks or permanent deformation. Responsive tuning of the embedded, sensor firmware establishes a baseline status for the sample whereupon incoming data gathered during the stress-strain encounter dynamic reveals details of fatigue build-up.
(FR) L’invention concerne un essai de performance de fatigue qui induit un environnement tension-effort analogique de trafic, de 60 cycles, dans une section transversale de chaussée routière au moyen d’une plateforme de fatigue cyclique de roulement. Des données de la dynamique de rencontre révèlent où l’accumulation d’effort se produit bien avant qu’une preuve externe visuellement détectable de défaut de fatigue soit présente dans l’échantillon de chaussée sous forme de fissures ou de déformation permanente. Un réglage en réponse du micrologiciel de capteur incorporé établit un état de base pour l’échantillon, les données entrantes assemblées pendant la dynamique de rencontre tension-effort révélant des détails d’accumulation de fatigue.
