Abstract:
(EN) Methods directed to the isolation and expansion of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells from umbilical cord tissue are disclosed. The methods are particularly suited for processing whole tissues or whole tissue sections, without dissection or extraction of blood vessels from the umbilical cord tissue. The methods comprise a closed processing system for disruption wherein digestion and dissociation to isolate the umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells occurs in the same container, so that opportunities for contamination are reduced.
(FR) L'invention concerne des procédés pour l'isolement et l'expansion de cellules souches mésenchymateuses de cordon ombilical provenant de tissus du cordon ombilical. Les procédés sont particulièrement appropriés pour le traitement de tissus entiers ou de parties de tissus entiers, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de disséquer ou d'extraire les vaisseaux sanguins du tissu de cordon ombilical. Lesdits procédés comprennent un système de traitement fermé provoquant une perturbation, la digestion et la dissociation pour isoler les cellules souches mésenchymateuses de cordon ombilical se produisant au sein d'un récipient unique, ce qui permet de réduire le risque de contamination.
