Abstract:
(EN) Systems provide cooling of an optic such as an optically addressed light valve such that the valve is sensitive to temperature and pressure variations and is thus temperature and pressure controlled. In the case of an optic such as an optically addressed light valve, the fluid pressure outside the valve is low enough that it does not compress the liquid crystal gap of the valve. The cooling fluid is transparent to the high powered wavelength of light used during operation such as in an additive manufacturing process.
(FR) L'invention concerne des systèmes fournissant un refroidissement d'un élément optique tel qu'un modulateur de lumière optiquement adressé, de telle sorte que le modulateur est sensible aux variations de température et de pression et est ainsi régulé en température et en pression. Dans le cas d'un élément optique tel qu'un modulateur de lumière optiquement adressé, la pression de fluide à l'extérieur du modulateur est suffisamment basse pour qu'elle ne comprime pas l'espacement de cristaux liquides du modulateur. Le fluide de refroidissement est transparent à la longueur d'onde de lumière à haute puissance utilisée durant le fonctionnement, tel que dans un processus de fabrication additive.
