Abstract:
(EN) A method can include initiating an iterative execution of a distributed memory program over multiple numbers of task nodes in a computer cluster, wherein each task node comprises a computing device. The method can also include changing an available bandwidth value of an interconnect of the computer cluster over a range of available bandwidths values. The method can further include measuring a completion time for execution of the distributed memory program for each change to the available bandwidth value and each change in the number of task nodes. The method can still further include storing an average demand constant in a non-transitory machine readable medium for the distributed memory program. The average demand constant can correspond to a completion time increment (CTI) for each change of the available bandwidth value and each of the multiple numbers of task nodes.
(FR) L’invention concerne un procédé qui peut consister à initier une exécution itérative d’un programme de mémoire distribué sur de multiples nombres de nœuds de tâche dans un groupe d’ordinateurs, chaque nœud de tâche comprenant un dispositif informatique. Le procédé peut également consister à changer une valeur de bande passante disponible d’une interconnexion du groupe d’ordinateurs sur une plage de valeurs de bandes passantes disponibles. Le procédé peut en outre consister à mesurer un temps d’achèvement pour l’exécution du programme de mémoire distribué pour chaque changement de la valeur de bande passante disponible et chaque changement du nombre de nœuds de tâche. Le procédé peut encore en outre consister à stocker une constante de demande moyenne dans un support lisible par machine non transitoire pour le programme de mémoire distribué. La constante de demande moyenne peut correspondre à une incrémentation de temps d’achèvement (CTI) pour chaque changement de la valeur de bande passante disponible et chacun des multiples nombres de nœuds de tâche.
