Abstract:
(EN) An ice making machine having a refrigeration system designed for hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants, and particularly propane (R-290), that includes dual independent refrigeration systems and a unique evaporator assembly comprising of a single freeze plate attached to two cooling circuits. The serpentines are designed in an advantageous pattern that promotes efficiency by ensuring the even bridging of ice during freezing and minimizing unwanted melting during harvest by providing an even distribution of the heat load. The charge limitations imposed with flammable refrigerants would otherwise prevent large capacity ice maker from being properly charged with a single circuit. The ice making machine includes a single water circuit and control system to ensure the proper and efficient production of ice. Material cost is conserved as compared to a traditional dual system icemaker.
(FR) L'invention concerne une machine de fabrication de glace possédant un système de réfrigération conçu pour des réfrigérants hydrocarbonés (HC) et, en particulier, du propane (R-290), qui comprend des systèmes de réfrigération indépendants doubles et un ensemble évaporateur unique constitué d'une plaque de congélation unique fixée à deux circuits de refroidissement. Les serpentins sont conçus dans un motif avantageux qui favorise l'efficacité en assurant une liaison régulière de la glace pendant la congélation et en réduisant au minimum la fusion indésirable pendant la collecte en fournissant une distribution homogène de la charge thermique. Les limitations de charge imposées avec les réfrigérants inflammables empêcheraient autrement à une machine à glace à grande capacité d'être correctement chargée avec un circuit unique. La machine de fabrication de glace comprend un circuit d'eau et un système de commande uniques pour garantir la production adéquate et efficace de glace. Le coût en matériaux est conservé par comparaison avec une machine à glace classique à double système.
