Abstract:
(EN) According to the present disclosure, a method for synthesizing hollow poly(vinylidene difluoride) microspheres is provided. The method, comprises the steps of (i) adding a first non-solvent to a polymer solution comprising poly(vinylidene difluoride) dissolved in an organic solvent to form a ternary mixture without inducing phase separation of the poly(vinylidene difluoride), and (ii) contacting the ternary mixture with a second non-solvent to induce phase separation to thereby form the hollow poly(vinylidene difluoride) microspheres. According to the present disclosure, a hollow poly(vinylidene difluoride) microsphere comprising a hollow core and a shell layer surrounding the hollow core, wherein the shell layer consists of poly(vinylidene difluoride) and comprises an external surface having no apertures that extend from the external surface towards the hollow core is also provided. A film comprising a plurality of hollow poly(vinylidene difluoride) microspheres obtained by the method as described above dispersed on at least one surface of a substrate is also disclosed herein.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de synthèse de microsphères creuses de poly(difluorure de vinylidène). Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant à (i) ajouter un premier non-solvant à une solution de polymère comprenant du poly(difluorure de vinylidène) dissous dans un solvant organique afin de former un mélange ternaire sans entraîner de séparation de phases du poly(difluorure de vinylidène), et (ii) à mettre en contact le mélange ternaire avec un second non-solvant pour entraîner une séparation de phases afin de former ainsi les microsphères creuses de poly(difluorure de vinylidène). Selon la présente invention, une microsphère creuse de poly(difluorure de vinylidène) comprenant un cœur creux et une couche d'enveloppe entourant le cœur creux, la couche d'enveloppe étant constituée de poly(difluorure de vinylidène) et comprenant une surface externe n'ayant pas d'ouvertures qui s'étendent à partir de la surface externe vers le cœur creux, est également décrite. Un film contenant une pluralité de microsphères creuses de poly(difluorure de vinylidène) obtenues par le procédé tel que décrit ci-dessus, dispersées sur au moins une surface d'un substrat, est également décrit.
