Abstract:
(EN) A mechanism is described for facilitating accelerated touch processing at computing devices. A method of embodiments, as described herein, includes transferring touch data from a touch sensor to a system memory, and reducing a software interrupt latency and power consumption by allowing one or more system components to be maintained in a lowest power state until one or more coordinates available from a graphics processing unit (GPU).
(FR) L'invention concerne un mécanisme permettant de faciliter un traitement tactile accéléré sur des dispositifs informatiques. Selon l'invention, le procédé consiste à transférer des données tactiles d'un capteur tactile vers une mémoire système, ainsi qu’à réduire la latence d'interruption d’un logiciel et la consommation d'énergie en permettant à un ou plusieurs composants du système de rester dans un état de puissance minimale jusqu'à ce qu’une ou plusieurs coordonnées d'une unité de traitement graphique (GPU) soient disponibles.
