Abstract:
(EN) A method for reducing printing defects in inkjet printing includes determining a respective colorant density for each colorant of a plurality of colorants for a region to be printed; determining a colorant dry-time signal strength as a function of a combined colorant density value based on the respective colorant densities of the plurality of colorants for the region to be printed; determining a respective colorant swath contraction strength for each colorant as a function of the respective colorant density; selecting a dry-time threshold which if met by the colorant dry-time signal strength indicates that a dry-time defect may occur; selecting a respective colorant density threshold for each colorant which if met by the respective colorant density indicates a visible swath contraction may occur; and determining a printing action to be taken based on whether the dry-time threshold is met and whether at least one respective colorant density threshold is met.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé visant à réduire les défauts d'impression dans l'impression à jet d'encre, qui comprend les étapes consistant à déterminer une densité respective de colorant pour chaque colorant d'une pluralité de colorants pour une région à imprimer; déterminer une intensité de signal de temps de séchage de colorant en fonction d'une valeur combinée de densité de colorant basée sur les densités respectives de colorant de la pluralité de colorants pour la région à imprimer; déterminer une intensité respective de contraction de bande de colorant pour chaque colorant en fonction de la densité respective de colorant; sélectionner un seuil de temps de séchage qui, s'il est satisfait par l'intensité du signal de temps de séchage de colorant, indique qu'un défaut de temps de séchage pourrait survenir; sélectionner un seuil de densité respective de colorant pour chaque colorant qui, s'il est satisfait par la densité respective de colorant, indique qu'une contraction de bande visible pourrait survenir; et déterminer une action d'impression à exécuter suivant que le seuil de temps de séchage est satisfait ou non et suivant qu'au moins un seuil de densité respective de colorant est satisfait ou non.
