Abstract:
(EN) The present invention addresses the problem of providing an IPS-mode liquid crystal display element, wherein the liquid crystal display element has high transmittance, achieves excellent display properties, and uses a liquid crystal composition having negative dielectric anisotropy. The present invention provides an IPS-mode liquid crystal display element in which each pixel includes: a first transparent insulating substrate and a second transparent insulating substrate that are disposed opposite one another, wherein a liquid crystal layer comprising a liquid crystal composition is sandwiched between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a first electrode and a second electrode upon the first substrate that comprise a transparent conductive material. The shortest inter-electrode distance G (μm) between the first electrode and the second electrode is 1–5 μm. The electrode width R (μm) of the first electrode is 0.5–3 μm, and the electrode width Q (μm) of the second electrode is 0.5–3 μm. The liquid crystal composition includes one or more compounds that are selected from the compound group represented by general formulas (N-1), (N-2), and (N-3) and that demonstrate specific physical property values.
(FR) La présente invention aborde le problème de la fourniture d'un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides à mode IPS, l'élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides ayant une transmittance élevée, présentant d'excellentes propriétés d'affichage, et utilisant une composition de cristaux liquides ayant une anisotropie diélectrique négative. La présente invention concerne un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides à mode IPS dans lequel chaque pixel comprend : un premier substrat isolant transparent et un second substrat isolant transparent qui sont disposés l'un en face de l'autre, une couche de cristaux liquides comprenant une composition de cristaux liquides est prise en sandwich entre le premier substrat et le second substrat ; et une première électrode et une seconde électrode sur le premier substrat qui comprennent un matériau conducteur transparent. La plus courte distance entre électrodes G (µm) entre la première électrode et la seconde électrode est de 1 à 5 µm. La largeur d'électrode R (μm) de la première électrode est de 0,5 à 3 µm, et la largeur d'électrode Q (μm) de la seconde électrode est de 0,5 à 3 µm. La composition de cristaux liquides comprend un ou plusieurs composés qui sont choisis parmi le groupe de composés représenté par les formules générales (N-1), (N-2) et (N-3) et qui présentent des valeurs de propriétés physiques spécifiques.
(JA) [課題] 本発明が解決しようとする課題は、IPSモードの液晶表示素子において、透過率が高く、優れた表示特性を実現可能な、誘電率異方性が負の液晶組成物を用いた液晶表示素子を提供する。 本発明は、対向に配置された第一の透明絶縁基板と、第二の透明絶縁基板と、前記第一基板と第二基板との間に液晶組成物を含有する液晶層を挟持し、前記第一基板上に、透明導電性材料からなる第一電極と、第二電極とを各画素毎に有し、前記第一電極と第二電極との間の電極間の最短距離:G(μm)が1から5μmであり、前記第一電極の電極幅:R(μm)が0.5から3μmであり、前記第二電極の電極幅:Q(μm)が0.5から3μmであり、前記液晶組成物が、特定の物性値を示し、一般式(N-1)、(N-2)及び(N-3)で表される化合物群から選ばれる化合物を1種類又は2種類以上 含有するIPS方式の液晶表示素子を提供する。
