Abstract:
(EN) Broadly speaking, embodiments of the present technique provide an apparatus and methods for improved wear-levelling in non-volatile memory (NVM) devices. In particular, the present wear-levelling techniques operate on small blocks within a memory device, at a finer scale/granularity than that used by common wear-levelling techniques which often remap large blocks (e.g. several kilobytes) of data.
(FR) De façon générale, des modes de réalisation de l'invention concernent un appareil et des procédés pour une meilleure répartition de l'usure dans les dispositifs à mémoire non volatile (NVM). En particulier, les présentes techniques de répartition de l'usure fonctionnent sur de petits blocs dans un dispositif à mémoire, à une plus petite échelle/une granularité plus fine que celles utilisées par les techniques de répartition de l'usure courantes qui reconfigurent souvent de grands blocs (par exemple plusieurs kilo-octets) de données.
